Biography
Hári Sewell is an independent consultant and former executive director of health and social care in the NHS and is a writer and speaker in his specialist area of ethnicity, race and culture in mental health.
Hári is honorary Senior Visiting Fellow at University of Central Lancashire (Inclusion Institute). He has worked as an expert panellist with the Department of Health and the Royal College of Psychiatrists. He is Associate Editor of the Journal Ethnicity and Inequalities in Health and Social Care and is on the editorial board of Journal of Integrated Care.
Hári Chairs the national Social Care Strategic Network (Mental Health) and is part of the Marmot Review of Health Inequalities post 2010.
His book ‘Working with Ethnicity Race and Culture in Mental Health: A Handbook for Practitioners’ was published in October 2008.
